St Andrews it was for the 2nd time this year. It is always a great place to come to, for the obvious reasons, such as the history and charm the place holds, but certainly not the weather
It was pretty cold and occasionally wet during the practice days, but not as bad as it has been on previous years at least.
On the Tuesday I met up with Joost Luiten with whom I hadn't seen since the Dutch Open since Aug. Joost is a good prospect who is having his first injury free season as pro and has had a really steady year making lots of cuts and in the top 70 of the money list.
We spent some time working on his pace control as this is an area he feels he can improve.
I also spent some time with Chris Wood and Rob Coles on the Wednesday. With Chris we have been working on getting a better release through the ball. And his stroke I starting to look a lot better. I also met up with Rob Coles to do some work.
The Ryder Cup boys obviously received a lot of attention when most of them arrived on the Wednesday, with lots of congratulations from the other players, caddies and officials. The victory is a great boost for the European Tour and all the other players take an interest and follow the proceedings.
After such an adrenalin fuelled week I'm sure it will be tough for the players to get there feet back down on the ground and back to the daily grind. Next event is the Portuguese Masters at Vilamoura Golf Club in the Algarve Portugal.
