Swede Henrik Stenson rediscovered his form on the greens to run world number one Rory McIlroy close in last weeks USPGA Championship at Valhalla.
Working with putting coach and Harold Swash Putting Director Phil Kenyon in the lead up to the event, Henrik topped the 'strokes gained putting' statistic for the week with a superb +2.3 average gain, eventually ending the week in a tie for 3rd place in the Championship overall.
Leading the putting stats highlighted a considerable improvement on the greens for Henrik – before teeing it up at Valhalla he was outside the top 100 in the strokes gained putting stat for the 2014 season.
It was a good week all round on the greens for Phil’s students, with Henrik leading the way, Marc Warren 14th and Chris Wood 24th in the strokes gained putting list, with Warren in tied 15th overall and Wood tied 47th for the week.
