On the Monday I met up with Ollie Fisher on the putting green to spend some time with him. The good thing about the SAM system we use alongside video  is the specific data you capture. This allows you to build up a library of stats which enables you to view a players progress objectively. Since his last visit to the studio Ollie has improved a lot, which is pleasing for Ollie as he has worked hard on it. We essentially spent most of the time working on the consistency of his tempo and acceleration in order to help fine tune his pace control.

Also met up with Gonzalo Fernandez Castano to check out his progress and make a slight alteration to his putter. Gonzo is using the new C Groove Gina, which will be launched soon. For those golfers that like the classic look this will be very popular.

Alexandro Tadini picked up an Olivia we had altered for him. Alex likes the putter face to look open at address so we had to manipulate the shaft to get the desired effect. The putter was also 32 inches, highlighting the growing trend for shorter putter out on tour.

Mark Foster, whom I’ve known from my amateur days together, was struggling a little with his alignment, so we spent some time working on his eye positioning. The positioning of the eyes plays a key role in instinctive and correct alignment. At the same time we had to re fit Mark so he picked up a Natalaie, which due to the distinctive alignment feature also helped him to line up easier.

We also spent some time with Edoardo Molinari who is a C Groove user. Edoardo was fitted for a 33 inch Sandy. The Sandy is another new model out shortly. which again, i feel will be very popular.

Overall a busy week with plenty of other players picking up c groove putters to work with.  Another new model I had with us, the Tracy FC, also got some great feedback.
