Gonzale Fernando Castano picked up the new abbie this week and did well with it. We cut it to 33 inches, bent it to 69 degrees and put a black iomic grip on it for him. Richard Finch picked up an Ashley 34 inch which was straight in the bag. SSP Chowrasia picked up a Carolyne as he had bent the shaft on his other one.
Ricardo Gonzelz also picked up the new abbie. Brett Rumford picked up the new Madison. He didn’t used it straight away but I saw him on the Friday and he had put it into the bag for the 2nd round. He was very complimentary of it.
Mark Foster took a new callie with the new 2 thumb light grip on it. I also spent some time with Mark throughout the week working with him on his technique and putting routine. Mark had his best result of the desert swing finishing 24th with 6 under.
I had also arranged to meet up with Henrik Stenson this week. He picked up 2 back up Donna’s (34 inch 74 degree lie) and 2 yes mirrors. We spent some time on the SAM system and video to see how had progressed and work out a plan for the year. The SAM data showed the improvement he has made, and the form he has shown. But as always with such world class players they are keen to improve and the analysis enabled us to put together a blue print for that. His performance this week in finishing 3rd in the event and also 3rd in the putting stats was pleasing.
Fanny Sunneson, Henriks caddie had also recommended me to Martin Kaymer. I met with Martin early on the wed morning and spent some time with him, profiling him on the SAM puttlab and video before putting a plan together. Martin seems a great guy and exceptionally talented. He finished 3rd in the putting stats alongside Henrik this week with 27 putts average per round. So a good start hopefully.Thats all from Dubai. My next event on tour will be the Andalucian Open at the end of March. Check out some high speed video below of Martin putting in Dubai.
